- Brian Horsak is a passionate researcher with a clear vision: to bridge technology and healthcare in order to develop innovative solutions for gait analysis and rehabilitation. His research explores how modern technologies, such as motion capture, wearable sensors, musculoskeletal simulations, machine learning, and augmented and virtual reality, can be used to sustainably improve patient care.
- He has extensive experience in designing and conducting research projects, acquiring competitive third-party funding, and leading interdisciplinary collaborations at both the national and international levels.
- Awards: His team and he have received multiple recognitions for scientific excellence, including Best Paper Awards at international conferences, the Lower Austrian Innovation Award in 2021, as well as first and second place at the Innovation Award of the Austrian Medical-Technical Professions (2016, 2021).
